Dr Brian Pryor is a Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and founder of Mercy Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He currently serves as the Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Mercy Hospital in Springfield MA. He is committed to serving the needs of the community and delivering the highest quality, patient centered care in the Pioneer Valley.
Dr Pryor obtained a Bachelor of Science at Neumann University before entering medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He quickly excelled to be the standout physician within his distinguished General Surgery residency. Through innovation and perseverance he pioneered the first integrated Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship program at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He shaped the future of Plastic Surgery training and was the inaugural diplomat from this trailblazing program.
He trained at prestigious institutions such as Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Drexel Hahnemann University Hospital, Reading Hospital and Trauma Center, as well as West Chester Hospital and Trauma Center. He received his hand surgery training the Philadelphia Hand Center at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Pediatric reconstructive surgery at St Christopher’s hospital for Children in Philadelphia.
The flames of Dr Pryor’s passion for Cosmetic Surgery were fanned by some of the nation’s most respected aesthetic surgeons in Philadelphia and Park Avenue in New York. In every operation in which Dr Pryor embarks he brings his well-honed aesthetic eye to bring out the inner beauty that exists in every patient, restoring the balance of form and function.
