This main goal of this procedure is to add volume to or to lift the cheeks.
What is the procedure like?
This procedure can either be done using fat grafting/transfer or using a cheek implant. It can also be done under local or general anesthesia.
What would my scars look like?
Anesthesia risks, Bleeding, Infection, seroma, need for other procedures.
What would my scars look like?
Depending on what type of technique was used, you could either have small incisions around your cheeks to transfer the fat, or an incision under your eyelid to place the cheek implant.
What is recovery like?
After your procedure, gauze dressings or bandages may be applied to your incisions. An elastic bandage or compression garment may also be placed to minimize swelling and support the cheeks as they heal following surgery.
When can I go back to work and start exercising again?
Vigorous activity should be avoided for about 1 week, but most patients can return to full activity after that.
